“My Lovely Boxer” on KBS 2TV has released a sneak peek of its upcoming fifth episode!

“My Lovely Boxer” is a new drama based on the award-winning novel of the same name about a genius boxer named Lee Kwon Sook (Kim So Hye) and a cold-blooded sports agent named Kim Tae Young (Lee Sang Yeob), who doesn’t feel guilty about match fixing or resorting to any means necessary for his athletes’ success.

Spoilers

In the previous episode, Lee Kwon Sook was overcome with anxiety ahead of her rematch with Jo Ah Ra (Do Eun Ha). Kim Tae Young, who had learned about her superstitions from a documentary, offered silent support by holding her hand in the manner of Lee Cheol Yong (Kim Hyung Mook). Despite her fear, Lee Kwon Sook exclaimed that she would win as she approached the ring, encouraged by Kim Tae Young’s support.

The first fixed match, which could potentially change the lives of both Kim Tae Young and Lee Kwon Sook, will take place in the upcoming episode. Lee Kwon Sook steps back into the ring after a three-year absence, attempting to defeat the boxing world’s “troublemaker,” Jo Ah Ra.

While Lee Kwon Sook maintains an anxious and restless gaze on her opponent, Jo Ah Ra maintains a fierce and calculating expression, waiting for the right moment to strike. Jo Ah Ra moves confidently to corner Lee Kwon Sook, while Lee Kwon Sook defends herself against Jo Ah Ra’s punches, waiting for the perfect opening.

Kim Tae Young watches Lee Kwon Sook from beneath the ring with concern, while match-fixer Kim Oh Bok (Park Ji Hwan) looks as if he has witnessed an unbelievable sight, piqued curiosity about the outcome of the match.

“In the fifth episode, Lee Kwon Sook and Kim Tae Young’s first fixed match will be revealed,” the production team said. Kim So Hye and Do Eun Ha put in months of hard work in high-intensity boxing training for this scene. We kindly ask for your patience and interest as we strive to provide a tense, edge-of-your-seat experience akin to watching a real boxing match.”

The next “My Lovely Boxer” episode will air on September 4 at 9:45 p.m. KST.
