A new poster for JTBC’s new drama “Welcome to Samdalri” (literal title) has been released!

“Welcome to Samdalri,” directed by Cha Young Hoon of “When the Camellia Blooms,” will star Ji Chang Wook as Jo Yong Pil, a man who has lived in his hometown on Jeju Island his entire life in order to protect its residents. Shin Hye Sun will play Jo Sam Dal, who grew up as a close childhood friend of Jo Yong Pil. Unlike Jo Yong Pil, who was content to stay in his hometown of Samdal, Jo Sam Dal made it her mission to escape to Seoul.

Yong Pil and Sam Dal were born only five minutes apart on the same day, and they attended school and college together. The polaroids on the poster depict images of the couple from their birth to the present day. The photos of the two posing affectionately together, including one with their families, show that they have a long history together.

Despite their happy past, the couple is currently taking a break from each other. Despite this, Yong Pil and Sam Dal have a 30-year history, and the two will reunite when Sam Dal returns to their hometown.

According to the production team, “they are sincere in creating a romance on another level as they work hard and endlessly discuss how to make Yong Pil and Sam Dal’s story more heart-fluttering, more hilarious, and more emotional.”

The first episode of “Welcome to Samdalri” will air on December 2 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
