BLACKPINK’s new song for the soundtrack of “BLACKPINK: THE GAME” is making waves on iTunes charts around the world!

On August 25, BLACKPINK released “THE GIRLS,” a brand-new single for the OST of their mobile game “BLACKPINK: THE GAME.” On August 23, the song was first made available through the app.

YG Entertainment officially announced on September 5 that “The Girls” had reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 30 different countries since its release.

“It is unusual for a game OST song without official promotional activities or performances to achieve such results,” the agency noted. “BLACKPINK has established a strong presence in the mainstream pop market.”
