The cast of the upcoming 10th anniversary performance of the musical “The Days” has been revealed!

“The Days” is a unique Korean jukebox musical based on the songs of late singer Kim Kwang Seok. It takes place over 20 years in the security office of the Blue House, South Korea’s presidential residence.

The musical premiered in 2013 to critical and audience acclaim, and it went on to win 11 Creative Musical Awards in total. “The Days” has set records with each season for the past ten years and is now regarded as one of the greatest jukebox musicals. The musical has received over 550,000 viewers since its premiere.

“The Days” has unveiled its star-studded cast, which includes both returning and new members, ahead of the musical’s upcoming 10th anniversary. Yoo Joon Sang, Seo Hyun Chul, Lee Jung Yul, Kim San Ho, and Park Jung Pyo are among the returning cast members who have appeared in every season since the show’s debut. Kim Gun Woo, Youngjae from GOT7, and others have joined the cast.

Jung Hak is played by Yoo Joon Sang, Lee Geon Myung, Oh Man Seok, and Uhm Ki Joon. Jung Hak is the Blue House’s security chief and a cold-hearted perfectionist. While Yoo Joon Sang has welcomed audiences as Jung Hak each season, Lee Geon Myung and Oh Man Seok will be returning to musicals for the first time in a long time. Uhm Ki Joon will return to the musical after appearing as Jung Hak in 2019.

Oh Jong Hyuk, Ji Chang Wook, Kim Gun Woo, and GOT7’s Youngjae will play Jung Hak’s free-spirited friend and fellow Blue House security worker Moo Young. Last season, Oh Jong Hyuk and Ji Chang Wook played this role, while Kim Gun Woo and Youngjae are new additions to the cast for the musical’s tenth anniversary.

Kim Ji Hyun, Choi Seo Won, and J-Min will play “the woman,” a mysterious figure guarded by Jung Hak and Moo Young. Kim Ji Hyun, who has appeared in “The Days” numerous times since 2014, will reprise her role for the first time since 2017. Choi Seo Won and J-Min will return to the cast after their first appearances in the musical in 2019.

Seo Hyun Chul and Lee Jung Yul from “The Days” will reprise their roles as the president’s friendly private chef, alongside Go Chang Suk, who appeared in the musical in 2020.

The Blue House’s librarian will be played by Lee Jin Hee, Kim Bo Jung, and Kim Seok Young. Dae Sik will be played by Choi Ji Ho and Kim San Ho, while Sang Gu will be played by Park Jung Pyo, Jung Soon Won, and Son Woo Min. Ha Na, the president’s daughter, will be played by Kwak Na Yoon and Lee Jung Hwa, while Su Ji, Ha Na’s friend and rival, will be played by Hong Yoo Jung and Lee Ja Young.

The star-studded 10th anniversary performances of the musical “The Days” will begin on July 12 and will run through September 3 at the Seoul Arts Center Opera House.
