After all, there appears to be some truth to the rumors, as a Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu reunion is taking place! New series posters have removed any doubt that a second collaboration between the two is in the works for the drama adaptation of the novel Black Moonlight Holds the BE Script. Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu have repeatedly stated that they would like to work together again since filming Love is Sweet. And with their incredible chemistry, it’s practically a no-brainer.
Friction Amongst Fans Over Casting
A few months ago, there was speculation that the Love is Sweet duo was planning their second xianxia project, “Till the End of the Moon.” While this is undoubtedly wonderful news for both actors, talk of a reunion has not gone down well with some of their fans. After rumours caused some friction among fans on both sides, both actors’ fan clubs issued a joint statement last month urging fans to pursue stars rationally.
We all know that some fans are notorious for being overly protective of their idols, but if a joint collaboration is what their idols want and the chemistry is fantastic, shouldn’t they at the very least be supportive? A similar thing happened when Bai Lu was rumored to be reuniting with her Arsenal Military Academy co-star Xu Kai for Royal Feast. Unhappy fans were so vocal about the couple pairing that show producer Yu Zheng was forced to defend it. Their fans are no longer on speaking terms.
Anyway, before I go any further, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at “Till the End of the Moon,” which just began filming on November 5, 2021.
Bai Lu plays Li Susu in “Till the End of the Moon,” a Hengyang sect daughter who eventually sacrifices herself to rewrite history and the future. Desperate to save the world from the grasp of the demon lord Tan Taijin (Luo Yunxi), she is sent back in time five hundred years to prevent him from transforming into his cruel and bloodthirsty demon persona. Li Susu reincarnates as Ye Xiwu, Tan Taijin’s beloved wife, and travels back in time. Chen Duling, Deng Wei, SNH48 member Sun Zhenni, and Eddy Geng Yeting also appear in the series.
