It’s official: “Taxi Driver” will return for a third season on SBS!
The day after the season finale of “Taxi Driver 2” aired on April 16, the producers of “Taxi Driver” announced that “Taxi Driver 3” was already in the works.
“‘Taxi Driver’ was recently confirmed for a Season 3,” a production team representative said. “We intend to begin discussions with the actors, writer, and director as soon as possible.”
Season 2 of “Taxi Driver” has just concluded, but the production team is still in talks with the cast members about the possibility of their return, and the filming schedule for Season 3 has yet to be determined. However, star Lee Je Hoon has stated in previous interviews that he hopes to return for another season of the hit drama.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Taxi Driver” is a drama about a mysterious taxi service that delivers vengeance on behalf of victims who cannot obtain justice through the legal system.
Following a successful run in 2021, the hit drama returned for a second season this past February—and not only did “Taxi Driver 2” earn higher viewership ratings than Season 1, but its finale also received the highest ratings of any miniseries to air this year.
