tvN’s “Arthdal Chronicles 2” has released a set of fresh stills in anticipation of tonight’s episode!

“Arthdal Chronicles” is an epic fantasy drama set in the mythical ancient realm of Arth. After a four-year hiatus following its first season, the series is back with “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun.”

In this new season, the story unfolds approximately a decade after the events of Season 1. Notably, Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung have joined the cast, taking on the roles of older versions of the original leads. Lee Joon Gi portrays twins Eun Seom and Sa Ya (originally played by Song Joong Ki in Season 1), while Shin Se Kyung embodies the character Tan Ya (originally portrayed by Kim Ji Won). Jang Dong Gun reprises his role as Ta Gon, the first king of Arthdal, and Kim Ok Bin portrays his queen Tae Al Ha.

In the previous episode, Sa Ya discovered that his twin brother Eun Seom is the revered hero of the Ago tribe Inaishingi, while Sa Ya himself assumed the position of commander-in-chief of Arthdal. This revelation set the stage for a dramatic showdown between the two brothers, now leading opposing forces.

The newly unveiled stills offer a glimpse of the battlefield, where determination and resolve permeate the air. Sa Ya, observing the unfolding battle, exudes unwavering determination, and the advancing Arthdal army strikes fear into the hearts of onlookers with their overwhelming might.

However, Eun Seom seems prepared for their arrival, his gaze piercing as he assesses the Arthdal army. Despite the apparent disparity in equipment and weaponry between his forces and the Arthdal army, Eun Seom’s troops match them in spirit and determination.

As the twins remain unaware of each other’s identities and loyalties, with Sa Ya searching for his long-lost younger twin, viewers are left with burning curiosity about the outcome of the impending battle.

The next episode of “Arthdal Chronicles 2” is set to air on September 10 at 9:20 p.m. KST, promising an exciting continuation of the unfolding saga.
