Previously, in episode 6 of “Red Balloon,” Jo Eun Kang’s confusion about her 20-year friend Han Ba Da, as well as her long-held desire for Go Cha Won, grew. Jo Eun Kang became cold to Han Ba Da, who introduced her to a divorced man with a child, and devised a plan to travel to Sokcho with only Go Cha Won.

In the midst of all of this, newly released stills show Jo Eun Kang and Go Cha Won having a good time together at the beach at night, heightening tension. Jo Eun Kang, who is normally calm and expressionless, flashes a big bright smile that has never been seen before, and Go Cha Won removes his jacket and affectionately wraps it around Jo Eun Kang.

In the following stills, Go Cha Won grabs Jo Eun Kang to keep her from tripping. When their gazes meet, they come to a halt and exchange stares. Viewers are eager to find out what happens at the end of their long night at the beach with just the two of them.

“Jo Eun Kang, who turns to the dark side, will surprise viewers with her meticulous plans that no one can expect,” the production team said. Please look forward to this week’s broadcast, which will feature a prelude to the breathtaking whirlwind in which [viewers] can see whether Jo Eun Kang, who approaches him directly, will shake Go Cha Won.”

The next “Red Balloon” episode will air on January 7 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
