WJSN’s Bona has opened up about her character in the upcoming drama “Joseon Attorney”!

“Joseon Attorney” (literal translation) will star Woo Do Hwan as an oejibu (a Joseon dynasty attorney) who seeks to avenge his parents’ deaths through a trial. Kang Han Soo (Woo Do Hwan) matures as a person on his journey to righteous vengeance, becoming a true attorney who protects and stands up for the people.

WJSN’s Bona plays Lee Yeon Joo, a confident, lively, and idealistic princess who seeks to avenge her father through the legal system. Lee Yeon Joo hides her identity and goes by the name So Won after her father, King Seon, dies, and approaches Kang Han Soo in her quest for vengeance.

In a recent interview, Bona described her character, Lee Yeon Joo, as “someone who wants to protect Joseon and its people more than anyone else,” adding, “I’m receiving a lot of good energy by playing such a righteous, energetic, and bright character.”

“[Lee Yeon Joo] is a character who is willing to take any risks to fight for justice while also wanting to do so in the most honest way,” Bona explained, using the words “justice,” “by the book,” and “love” as fundamental keywords for her character. She is someone who cares deeply about those around her and the people of her country.”

“Historical dramas have been a genre that I have long wanted to try,” Bona said of taking on her first historical drama. I also had faith in the director, with whom I had previously collaborated on ‘Twenty Five, Twenty One.'”

The premiere of “Joseon Attorney” will take place on March 31 at 9:50 p.m., following the conclusion of “Kokdu: Season of Deity.”
