Ahn Hyo Seop has commented on the upcoming third season of “Dr. Romantic”!

“Dr. Romantic” is a popular drama that follows the lives of realistic doctors who work at a run-down hospital in the countryside. In the upcoming third season, Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Min Jae, So Ju Yeon, Jin Kyung, Im Won Hee, Byun Woo Min, and Jung Ji Ahn will all reprise their roles.

Ahn Hyo Seop, who will reprise his role as genius surgeon Seo Woo Jin in Season 3, revealed that it took him no time to get back into the swing of things once he began filming Season 3.

The actor recalled his first day on set for “Dr. Romantic 3,” saying, “I think I was busy greeting all the faces I was happy to see again.” I believe that because it was Doldam Hospital, I was able to quickly return to the mindset of Woo Jin’s life, which my body and mind remembered.”

“It all started with something someone said lightheartedly around the time Season 2 was ending,” Ahn Hyo Seop said when asked if he expected the drama to return for a third season. I recall the entire cast and crew declaring back then, ‘Let’s return to Doldam at some point in the future, no matter what.’ I, too, used to think to myself, ‘Someday.’ The reason I decided to join Season 3 was straightforward. I did it because I wanted to and it made me happy.”

“First, I think the realistic human stories that ‘Dr. Romantic’ tells and the messages it throws out into the world give us food for thought regarding the direction of our own lives—what we ought to consider important in life, and why we need to keep living that way,” Ahn Hyo Seop said of the drama’s longevity.

“Second,” he went on, “I think it was the firm and unanimous determination of the entire ‘Dr. Romantic’ team, including the director, writer, cast, and crew.”

Finally, the actor discussed what to expect from his character in Season 3.

“Woo Jin’s perspective on the world has shifted,” Ahn Hyo Seop observed. “You’ll see a Woo Jin who has matured and solidified on the inside, and whose outlook on life has broadened.”

“All the characters have transformed after each choosing their own paths,” he continued. I hope you enjoy following their journey of development as they live their lives ‘in the now’ while following the paths they’ve chosen.”

“Dr. Romantic 3” will premiere on April 28 at 10 p.m. KST.
