JTBC’s “Welcome to Samdalri” is set to deliver intense moments in the upcoming episode, as revealed by newly released stills.

Under the direction of Cha Young Hoon, renowned for his work on “When the Camellia Blooms,” the romance drama “Welcome to Samdalri” features Ji Chang Wook as Jo Yong Pil. He plays a man deeply connected to his hometown on Jeju Island, dedicating his life to safeguarding its residents. Shin Hye Sun co-stars as Jo Sam Dal, Jo Yong Pil’s childhood friend.

In previous episodes, the plot thickened as Jo Sam Dal’s former assistant, Bang Eun Joo (Jo Yoon Seo), orchestrated a betrayal involving Cheon Choong Gi (Han Eun Sung), who cheated on Jo Sam Dal. Eun Joo not only sabotaged Sam Dal’s career at its peak but also claimed credit for her portfolio.

Despite the apparent success of Eun Joo’s stolen idea, her lack of skills became evident during a photo shoot. Struggling with manual focus, she caused delays, leading the model and staff to leave in frustration. Blaming others for the setback, Eun Joo found herself isolated on set.

The newly unveiled stills depict Eun Joo and Choong Gi on Jeju Island, where Eun Joo secured another opportunity through her boyfriend for a photo shoot. However, unlike in Seoul, Jo Sam Dal is surrounded by a supportive network, including Yong Pil, and friends Kyung Tae, Eun Woo, and Sang Do, along with the close-knit community in her hometown.

The images showcase Kyung Tae, Eun Woo, Sang Do, and haenyeos (female divers harvesting sea life) Geum Sool and Bu Ja expressing their anger and disdain towards Eun Joo and Choong Gi. They are fully aware of the duo’s role in causing Sam Dal’s downfall in Seoul. Shin Hye Sun’s character demonstrates resilience in the face of adversity, fortified by the unwavering support of her loyal friends and hometown allies.
