Shin Hye Sun will star as Jo Sam Dal, who grew up together with Jo Yong Pil as his close childhood friend. JTBC’s upcoming drama “Welcome to Samdalri” has unveiled its main poster! Directed by “When the Camellia Blooms” director Cha Young Hoon, “Welcome to Samdalri” is a new romance drama starring Ji Chang Wook as Jo Yong Pil, a man who has faithfully stayed in his hometown on Jeju Island his entire life in order to protect its residents.

Sam Dal, unlike Yong Pil, who was happy to stay in his hometown of Samdalri, made it her mission to leave their small town and relocate to Seoul. She worked hard to become an assistant in the competitive fashion industry, gritting her teeth and persevering until, after years of hard work, she succeeded and reached the top. However, everything she had worked so hard to achieve came crashing down in an instant, forcing her to return to Samdalri.

Although Sam Dal did not want to return to Samdalri, once there, she finds unexpected comfort and a breath of fresh air in her ex-boyfriend Yong Pil, who used to be her closest companion. In the newly released poster, Sam Dal appears to have finally found peace by Yong Pil’s side, with the former couple smiling happily as they look out together at the sea and sky.

The cast and crew of the show said, “For the people that have been busily racing ahead this year without a chance to catch their breath, we hope that you’ll be able to recharge for a moment at the end of this year by catching your breath together with Yong Pil and Sam Dal through ‘Welcome to Samdalri.'”

“In order to capture the peace, familiarity, and warmth conveyed by the word ‘hometown,’ we are paying special attention to the beauty of the cinematography as well,” they went on to say. “Please look forward to the premiere of ‘Welcome to Samdalri,’ a drama that will bring you peace while making you laugh amidst your hectic everyday life.”

The first episode of “Welcome to Samdalri” will air on December 2 at 10:30 p.m. KST. View a teaser for the drama here!
