A teaser for JTBC’s upcoming drama “Reborn Rich” has been released!

“Reborn Rich,” based on a popular web novel, is a fantasy drama set in the turbulent 1980s about the secretary of a chaebol family, Yoon Hyun Woo. The drama is written by Kim Tae Hee, who has previously written for “Designated Survivor: 60 Days” and “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” and new writer Jang Eun Jae, and directed by Jung Dae Yoon, who has previously directed “W” and “She Was Pretty.” On top of that, a star-studded cast that includes Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, and Shin Hyun Been adds to the excitement.

Song Joong Ki will play Yoon Hyun Woo, who dies after being falsely accused of embezzlement by the Sunyang Group family to which he was loyal. As a form of vengeance, he reincarnates as the family’s youngest son, Jin Do Joon, and works to take over the company.

Lee Sung Min had previously been confirmed to play Jin Yang Chul, the CEO of Sunyang Group. He rose from poverty to the top of the financial world, becoming a relentlessly competitive and harsh character with an endless greed for money.

Shin Hyun Been will play anti-corruption prosecutor Seo Min Young, who comes from a prominent legal family. With the moniker “Sunyang Group’s Grim Reaper,” Seo Min Young is willing to cross legal lines if it means serving justice.

The synopsis teaser shows Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, and Shin Hyun Been reciting the drama’s synopsis in a formal manner. Tensions rise as the actors recite one line at a time, creating a film-like atmosphere. The actors begin the teaser by stating the plot of the drama, “This is a revenge story of a man who was born in a poor family and sacrificed his life as a slave of a chaebol family.” However, the actors’ storytelling soon foreshadows an unexpected turn of events. “No,” they say. It’s the story of being born as the youngest son of a chaebol family and devouring their business with devilish greed.”

Then come deep questions like, “Is it a desperate desire for vengeance or just an ugly human desire that moves him?” and “Is being born again a blessing or a curse?” making viewers eager to find out what Jin Do Joon’s decision will be as he is given the opportunity to live a second life
